Vivian Maier

My parents came to visit and we went down to the Cultural Center to check out this show.
It was amazing. It’s a show in two parts. First the story of this woman. Then the work.

It’s a fairy tale. To discover treasure trove of amazing work after the artist is deceased.

From the blog- a street photographer from the 1950s - 1990s. Vivian’s work was discovered at an auction here in Chicago where she resided most of her life. Her discovered work includes over 100,000 mostly medium format negatives, thousands of prints, and countless undeveloped rolls of film.

There is a Kick Starter to make a documentary on her story - lots of links here to other news stories about her and the project.
