Seoul Day 1

This time Dan and I went together and I had a much better time. Dan loved the craziness of the city and we got to see and do a lot.

So much good food. First night Bibimbap.

I forget what palace this is. Dan has better photos. It rained really hard all day on our first day.

We wandered around this neighborhood looking for a restaurant.

We found it. Tucked away on the second floor right in the middle of all these western shops in this huge shopping district. Yet another huge shopping district.

It was right across the street from a Lush store. I found out that none of the Lush stores in Seoul carry Lush deodorant.

This is Samgyetang, chicken and ginseng soup. It’s a half of a chicken stuffed with rice. Pretty good on a rainy day.

We were walking around and in a empty store front was this guy. He’s traveling the world doing drawings of people for peace. He wants to draw a million faces for peace.
So far he has 50,000? I think.
So we each had our portrait done. My shots are on Dan’s camera, I’ll upload them later.

One of the Japanese teachers recommended a list of places to eat at in Seoul. They were all good. This is a Yaki Neku restaurant where you cook the meat at your table. We’ve been to some in Japan but we’ve never had someone cook the meat for us. It was So GOOD. We normally throw the meat on and kind of dip it in some of the sauces. But this guy showed us how to cook and eat each meat and it was so much better.
